Rod Fram

President

As President of Transpacific Realty Advisors, Rod Fram is actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the properties that we manage. He draws on more than 30 years of high-level real estate experience, including commercial and residential property management, leasing transactions, and advisory services, to help our clients optimize their assets and provide them with innovative solutions.

Some of Rod’s initiatives include developing an insurance program that offers our clients discounted rates, a risk management program that ensures our clients’ buildings comply with local health and safety regulations, and Residential Tenancy Law training for all our residential managers. Solutions like these allow our clients to relax, knowing that we’re constantly on the lookout for their best interests.

High-level experience, relationship-centred service

During his 18 years with Colliers International, a leading global real estate management firm, Rod was General Manager of both their Commercial Property Management and Residential Rental Management divisions. He developed a Risk Management Program that included Occupational Health and Safety issues, and a Master Insurance Program that achieved considerable savings for Colliers’ clients.

When the firm offered Rod the position of Vice President of Risk Management, he felt it was time to reassess his career. Rod had a strong desire to take his expertise and work directly with property owners – to make a positive and personal difference to their success in a way that he couldn’t achieve within a large corporate culture.

In 2008, he left the global firm and acquired Transpacific Realty Advisors. Rod saw a niche in Vancouver for the combination of “big firm” expertise that he could offer and the relationship-centred service that had always been his hallmark.

The venture paid off. Today, Transpacific Realty Advisors is a successful boutique property management firm that has grown into a significant player in the Vancouver market. For Rod, his most important achievement has been the business culture he has created for both his clients and staff: authentic, caring and accountable – proving that a successful property management company can be founded on a set of principles, and not just a business case.
